My passion for photography started in childhood in my father’s darkroom, and was nurtured by him as I grew up. As a Botany and Zoology student at university, armed with a camera capable of capturing plants and insects in close up detail, my enthusiasm grew even more, especially when I met Richard and our shared interest sparked off our romance!
For many years whilst raising our family, image making took a back seat. My other passion for plants was put to good use growing organic vegetables and gradually laying out our ornamental garden.
When the children were less dependant on me I embarked on a new career, retraining as a garden designer. This profession still occupies much of my time but I have also been able to develop my photography to a professional standard and have twice won prizes in the annual RHS photography competition.
